The Privileges tab (screen) provides a way to edit, add and delete privileges.
When a privilege is added, it is available for assignment to any provider in Guardian. By the same
logic, when a privilege is edited, the changes take effect for all providers that the privilege is
assigned to and when a privilege is deleted, it is also unassigned from any provider it was
assigned to.
The Privileges tab is made up of three main sections which are highlighted and labeled below:
Privileges List
- Provides a list of all privileges currently in Guardian. Privileges are displayed
in alphabetical order.
Filtering
The Filter Bar on the left of the screen will filter the privilege list to show only the privileges which
start with the filter bar letter that is clicked on. For example, to see only privilege that start with the
latter "J", you can click on the letter J in the Filter Bar and the Privileges list will show only
privileges that start with "J".
In addition to the Filter Bar, the Privileges list may be filtered by using filter-as-you-type
.
Icons
Privileges that are bundles are identified in the Privileges list with the bundle icon (
).Privileges
that are not bundles do not have an icon associated with them.
Using the Privileges List
The Privileges List is used to select a particular privilege for viewing, editing, or deleting. To
select a privilege, locate the privilege name in the privileges list and left-click on it.
