An area that has been getting a greater attention lately is patient safety.
Guardian provides a real patient safety improvement by providing several key
benefits:
Real-time provider privilege information. Staff can instantly verify privileges 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Positive Identification of providers. Security badges can be easily altered to make anyone appear to be a legitimate provider. Guardian provides a full color photo of the provider to allow independent positive identification without depending on badges or other types of alterable ID .
Instant Privilege Suspension. Unlike paper lists, Guardian never has a "lag time" between a provider's privileges being suspended and the staff being notified. With Guardian any provider's privileges can be suspended and staff notified instantly.
Automatic Privilege Expiration. When Providers are entered into Guardian a privilege expiration date is also provided. Guardian will automatically suspend the provider's privileges on that date, preventing lapses in their privilege certifications. The Quick View feature in Guardian also show credentials managers whose privileges will expire in 30, 60, and 90 days making the task of recertification much easier to manage.
